Meet the Artist

Carrie Brickhouse Cranwell is a high school art teacher in eastern NC, with a passion for making art. She graduated from East Carolina University in 2017 with a BFA in Art Education. She has taught school age ranges from K-12 both in the public school setting and in summer and afterschool art programs. In addition to this she has lead several artist demonstrations for local pottery events in eastern NC.

When she is not busy teaching, Carrie enjoys making her own art to continue to develop her craft. She has explored a variety or art media, such as painting, screenprinting, textiles, and laser cutting. Currently, pottery has become her medium of choice, with a focus on using sgraffito designs in her work.
